The Launchers Bio

Bestrewn with social commentary and singable sounds that reflect the struggles of a modern British dystopia, The Launchers recapture the fiery optimism of their luminaries. A band of London-lyrical, not so normal, original characters and not so shy of scribing songs from their soul.

They deliver fresh, deep layered, diverse and definitely danceable originals. It’s like they took one step beyond and carried on exploring, with both feet and all ears.

Having collectively soaked-up much of the ever-evolving London cultural soundscapes, The Launchers have lit a fuse from their mutual appreciation for Ska and Trojan to adventurous indie and alternative soul.

Their highly anticipated debut, The Leader, landed in late 2019. The acclaimed album – a collection of 11 original tracks, not only pleased their tribe, but turned a good few many more heads in the process. The Launchers continue to capture the imagination and surprise of their growing audiences with new releases.

Fond as they are of shaking things up a little, the 9-piece reveal their wide and prolific, shared love of songwriting. Seemingly equally at home on stage or in the studio, their live stage presence has led to their own Sold-out shows and the release of their debut single, ‘Dutty Mouth’, which peaked at No.3 in the Reggae charts, a critically acclaimed debut album and a radio smash, ‘Rainbow Children’, released in 2021.

The Launchers, took off at Camden’s, Dublin Castle just a few years back. Just enough time to tame this multifaceted bunch, evolving the sound and making their debut album count. Before long their tub-thumping, floor-filling original scorchers have supported legendary acts incl. Madness, Geno Washington, and Roddy Radiation (The Specials).
